Underwater properties of sacrificial anode cathodic protection

Oct 13, 2024 Leave a message

Underwater metal structures use sacrificial anodes, which are usually measured once every three months, mainly to measure the potential of each measurement point, the output current of the anode and other values.
It should also be noted that the anodes connected to the metal of the cable and the underwater structure should be checked regularly to avoid damage caused by waves and ships and repaired in time.
When the protective potential of the structure to water is not negative enough, the anode should be replaced at this time, and other anodes should be considered for inspection.
There is also the sacrificial anode fixed to the underwater structure, which cannot measure the output current and can only be measured according to the protective potential.
The degree of pollution of seawater sometimes affects the working performance of the anode.
