Conditions required for magnesium alloy sacrificial anode to work

Oct 04, 2024 Leave a message

The function of magnesium alloy sacrificial anode is to reduce the corrosion rate of cathode and achieve the purpose of protecting cathode from corrosion. The corrosive medium must be a conductive material to establish a continuous circuit; it is easier for the metal material to be cathodized in the medium, otherwise it will increase the power consumption and affect the effect of cathodic protection; in order to avoid the unevenness of the protection current, geometric shielding should be implemented for complex metal equipment or structures; the cathode and cathode must be electrically insulated, and the cathode system needs to have conductive continuity.
